    Bilingual Marketing/Communications Coordinator

    Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX) seeks a Bilingual Marketing/Communications Coordinator to help support the Marketing and Communications Department. The Bilingual Marketing/Communications Coordinator will focus on assisting the Department with developing and implementing strategies to promote GSNETX. This individual will professionally translate English copy to Spanish; approve/edit staff materials/communications relaying a consistent message of the Girl Scout Image; develop/manage GSNETX presence on social networking sites (Facebook, CafeMom, etc.); write press releases, web articles and other communications to help promote GSNETX goals and objectives; maintain Department records; and assist with council photography and videography. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

    Qualifications include

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent; excellent oral and written communications skills (both in English and Spanish); two (2) years of demonstrable experience in communications, journalism, and/or marketing; proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); ability to work within branding standards required; ability to work with audiovisual equipment, digital cameras, video cameras, projectors, etc.; high energy level including the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects required; and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Bilingual skills a plus.
