About newsroom staffing cuts at the Dallas Morning News. Because somebody needs to do it.
They did layoffs at TXCN yesterday, a total of 11 people, mostly in production.
I used to work at TXCN. If I had stayed, then the count would have probably been 12. This is so sad. I hope everyone finds new jobs soon. :(
Speaking of TXCN, anyone know what is going on instead that building? For weeks now, people have been moving out furniture. Yard sale?
I've heard that they're moving people from other Belo properties into the space
Good. Belo should consolidate into unused space and find some savings that way, rather than cutting the workforce.
I think the BIM folks are moving out of Founders and into TXCN.
Can we post the names of those layed off at TXCN?
The rule of this blog is that I will not post names without permission. If those who have been laid off at TXCN would like to have their names posted here, I'm willing to expand the purpose of this blog a little to cover our local Belo cousins.
